(Little does Raidou know, Tsurumaru is the type that collects gifts. These will surely go into the little box he keeps on his desk with offerings and trinkets from his time here. Both the letter and the cards will go inside it.
After receiving the box, he'll send Raidou a message. Like Raidou, he takes the time to write a handwritten note. His writing is neat, each character is perfectly written, and there's definitely an "old" feeling to it all. It's older than what Raidou might be accustomed to considering Tsurumaru's age but maybe it'll be enough,)
Dear Raidou-kun, I received your message and gift the other day. When I opened it, I was delighted. I will treasure both your letter and your gift. Thank you for your thoughts.
My memories of Las Vegas are both pleasant and not. However, such is life. I will cherish all of my memories and use them to steel my heart.
And what of you? Are you reflecting on our last adventure still? Or are you simply glad to be back home?
[It feels nice to write, doesn't it? Other than some study notes, and the notes he takes after each kaiju mission, Raidou doesn't get much of a chance to do so. Paper isn't always the easiest to come by, but he can make some more small cards from pages in the notebooks Yuji got him. Raidou's handwriting is very neat and precise, and he's better at forming thoughts in writing than out loud, as Tsuru may remember from seeing his open letter all those months ago.
It will be slipped under hos door at a point when Tsuru isn't there.]
There are some things about the trip I will remember fondly, and I will try to focus on those. I will do as I always do when it comes to the missions, and learn from them, and try not to repeat previous mistakes. The more I can learn from the worst parts, the easier I hope things will be in the future, leading to happier memories down the line.
But, I am very glad to be back. Strange how much I missed this place. Home.
