(It's more the warmth that gives Aki away than the color. How cute, he thinks, and he braces himself to support Aki's weight. He may be shorter and certainly on the thinner side but he's still strong. He can easily support him and he leads the way, careful to make sure Aki doesn't stumble over any steps or ledges they may cross.
There are things he could say right now. He could certainly tease him and make things worse, but he has some mercy.)
[ Given how drunk he is, it's surprising how capable of walking and climbing steps Aki is; clearly, this isn't the first time he's wandered around drunk or had to make his way home. He might get a taxi back at home, but the bar to the base wasn't that far. He just sighs softly, letting himself relax into Tsurumaru's hold.

[ Aki has no idea about any of that, so he's just... Existing. He wobbles a little when he gets to the door, reaching out to unlock it and slip inside. It's barely decorated, the only thing present being the sword leaning against a wall that Aki ignores.
(Most rooms in this base feel empty. He's chanced glances into a few that are much more full of life and personality but he's seen plenty that offer little about their occupants, too. He supposes Aki is one of them.
He helps guide Aki over to the bed and then sits beside him. He's still here for Aki to lean on, after all.)
[ If it were anyone else, he would be far less forthcoming, even when drunk, but he trusts Tsurumaru. They've spent enough time together that he thinks he understands him, a little, and he's willing to share a little more of himself. They're friends, aren't they? They've been partners, they've worked together.
He shakes his head, lifting his hand to tug the hairband off his topknot. ]

(Only 2 years left anyway and then having it cut off even shorter than that. He could say something about how short human lives are and how surprisingly they can end but this doesn't seem appropriate and there's something else he here that catches his attention,)

(He doesn't move. He lets Aki lean onto him and he even adjusts his position a bit to try and make it a little more comfortable for him. After a moment, he reaches up to brush Aki's hair with his fingers.
Voice calm, speaking patiently, gently coaxing Aki to speak but only if he wants to,)

(He's heard that a few times but he still doesn't really understand.)
Life is full of surprises. (Fingers brushing through hair, untangling, smoothing out, trying to brush away some of the tension,) And death is the final one of all.
(A Gun Devil. A Fox Devil and now that he understands... he looks at the sword across the room quietly. A Sword Devil? And in the interrogation... a Future Devil? Things he makes note of for now but for now, he shifts some and gently pushes Aki down, guiding him to rest his head on his lap,)

(Brushing his hair still,)
And in the morning, if you still want to, we can cut your hair.
(He won't let Aki decide anything in his current state.)
Mhm. For now, you still have it.
(A "tomorrow," that is. When Aki looks up at him, he looks down back at him. He's as calm as ever, expression relaxed and he stops brushing Aki's hair for a moment to wipe at his eye,)
(It's as easy as that and he won't let Aki's mind wander too far into the dark because no sooner than he speaks does he start to sing. He has a good voice, calming and soft but full of quiet emotion,)
Don't cry, don't cry, go to sleep. Or the monsters will come and take you away.
(Good, he thinks and his voice only grows warmer. Of course, he loves surprising people so to hear that makes him happy.
He only continues to sing. The song is old, quite traditional, and if one really listens to the lyrics... aren't they a little sad? But most lullabies are like that, right?
But he'll keep singing, brushing Aki's hair, staying still as he keeps watch over him.
